AeroSvit commencing scheduled flights to the Russian city Rostov-on-Don

On April 24th, 2012, AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines will start operating its own flights between Kyiv and Rostov-on-Don, a large administrative, industrial and cultural center in the south of Russia with the population of over 1 million people. 

AeroSvit will gradually increase the frequency of flights on the route: from 2 up to 5 flights per week in April-May, and up to 7 flights per week in the short term. The duration of flight between the cities will be about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The airline is launching a new route as a response to of growth ethnical and business traffic flows to Rostov-on-Don, which is widely referred to as the “southern capital” of Russia, “gates to the Caucasus” due to its social and economic development, geographical position and transport communications.
Flights to the Russian megalopolis via Kyiv will be available to AeroSvit Airlines' passengers traveling from large Ukrainian cities as well as from Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, London, Prague, Vilnius, Tbilisi, Tel Aviv, New York, Toronto and other cities of the Ukrainian carrier's route network.
Rostov-on-Don will become the seventh Russian city in the route network of AeroSvit, the largest air carrier between Ukraine and Russia. In particular, AeroSvit operates scheduled flights from Kyiv and several Ukrainian regions to Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Kaliningrad, seasonal routes from Kyiv to Novosibirsk, Nizhnevartovsk and Krasnodar. During summer season 2012, the carrier plans to expand the flight network to the Russian Federation by means of adding a number of new routes. 
Flight schedule on Kyiv - Rostov-on-Don – Kyiv route:
Starting from April 24th, AeroSvit will perform flights to Rostov-on-Don on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Starting from May 3rd, departures from "Boryspil" on Thursdays, starting from May 13th - on Sundays, and starting from May 25th - on Fridays will be added.
